Hi. My name is Evan, I'm a writer based in Niagara Ontario. I have spent the last year and a half reporting daily news for The Lake Report, a scrappy and ambitious little print outfit in Niagara-on-the-Lake. I have specialized in covering municipal politics, marginalized groups, environmental issues and human features.

 

I have received three awards from the Ontario Community Newspaper Association for education, feature writing and diversity coverage. I have a bachelor's degree in English literature from the University of Guelph and a journalism diploma from Sheridan College.

 

In my spare time, I dabble in fiction, food writing and photography. I'm also working to expand my video editing skills.
